Fall isn't quite over yet! I wanted to make sure I got this first post up quick so that there was still time to make a last harvest decoration for your thanksgiving get together in the coming
week.

I'm very excited about starting this new blog and feel like this time around I have a little better understanding of what it is I love and want to share. I also now see the value in what I have to share, which when realized, truly changes everything. And that goes for everyone!
Now, I'm not sure where I land when it comes to when it's "acceptable" to transition into the Christmas season. I get the reasoning people give for plunging in early. Christmas decor is fun and often takes a bit of work to get out when it's only up for about a month if you wait. Although, no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to get past the fact that it feels like I'd be skipping over Thanksgiving! So for now, my house is still full of autumn pumpkins and scarecrows.

But, whether you're already full blown Christmas, or hanging onto the last bit of the fall season we have left, this garland is an adorable addition to add to your fall decor now, or next year! And it's SO easy to make.
What You'll Need
Yarn, scissors, twine, and pipe cleaners.
Step One:
Cut twine to desired length for garland. Then wrap yarn around your palm until decently thick. The amount of yarn needed and times you'll have to wrap around your hand depends on the thickness of the yarn. Error on the side of too much yarn then too little. This will be the body of the pumpkin.
Step Two:
Once the yarn is at desired thickness, carefully slide yarn off your hand, making sure it keeps it's shape. Cut a piece of same colored yarn about 5-6in in length and place rolled up yarn on top of it.
Step Three:
Tie the strand of yarn around the rolled up yarn tight. Then fluff out the yarn to make the body of the pumpkin. Cut a small piece of pipe cleaner and place under the string you just tied.
Step Four:
Place the twine over the pipe cleaner and then fold the pipe cleaner so that the twine is inside it. Twist to resemble a pumpkin stem. Repeat until you have pumpkins filling out the desired length of the garland!

I hope you enjoy making this garland for you're home, and have a very happy Thanksgiving!
