If you're anything like me you have a cabinet, cupboard, or bookshelf full of cook books and baking books. I love getting new books for my kitchen. It's one of my favorite gifts to get myself or gift to someone. The excitement of getting a new book, sitting down with a cup of coffee, and flipping through the recipes that are full of tasty potential. It's so fun and relaxing!

Sometimes though it can be a bit of gamble buying a cook book, especially if you aren't familiar with the author. You just don't know if you're going to love it, or if it actually contains well developed recipes. That's why I wanted to share some of my current favorite cookbooks and baking books with you! (Honestly, they're mostly baking books!)
Tis the season for lots of cooking and baking, hosting and parties, and you can be equipped with some of the best recipes I know of! I am also all about quick, easy, and delicious. So, most of these book's recipes won't be too difficult or take too long to make. All the books are linked to buy by clicking on their title!
Top Five Books I'd Recommend:

1.) Snacking Cakes by Yossy Arefi : I can't express enough how much I love this book. This book is all about baking, but don't let that intimidate you! All of the recipes are meant to be quick and easy cakes and only need hand whisking for making. Another thing I love about this book is that all the recipes can be made in either a cake pan, loaf pan, or square pan. I've really enjoyed the Pumpkin and Banana Bread recipes. And if you want to spruce it up with some frosting or whipped cream she includes recipes for that too!

2.) Magnolia Table Volume 2 by Joanna Gaines : What can't Joanna do? I do have to say, I like this second volume much more than her first. This cookbook includes recipes from breakfasts-desserts and everything in between. What I especially love is a section in the beginning that includes recipes for spice blends that you can make yourself, like taco and chili seasoning. There has not been one recipe in this entire book that I've made and not loved.
3.) Midwest Made by Shauna Sever : So many fun bakes in this book and all the recipes are amazing! I love that this book is all about traditional midwestern baking and the roots of different recipes, some we all know and love, and some I've never heard of before. This book is beautiful with breathtaking photos as well. There's a cookie section in the back that is all about different Christmas cookies which is perfect for the season! My favorite are the Peppermint Meltaway Cookies.

4.) The Cake Book by Rebecca Firth : So the next two books are books I don't yet have but intend on getting! If you haven't heard of The Cookie Book go order it right now! The Cake Book is Rebecca's second book that was released December 7th and I have been anticipating it's arrival since I heard she was writing it! Her recipes are always doable and delicious and I expect her new book will be no different.
5.) Cookie Lover by Karli Bitner : I discovered Karli last year when I was trying to find some copycat Crumbl recipes to make since Alaska didn't any store locations. I instantly fell in love with her copycat Sugar Cookie recipe! They tasted amazing and even better then the real thing. Fast forward to today and Karli makes tons of Crumbl copycat recipes almost weekly, and has a book out that is just cookie recipes. I am so excited to get this book!
